My readings in the history of the past several centuries.
I have loved reading and studying history since I took classes in American and world history in high school. As an adult, it started when I picked up and read Doris Kearns Goodwin’s “Team of Rivals.” I was hooked all over again. That started me on a voyage that continues to this day. Reading history is like traveling in both time and space. It is exciting, illuminating, educational and deeply satisfying. Dare I also say, that in an age of such extraordinary ignorance, the past has lots to teach us.
